Primary Care
Overview

At the North Bay Indigenous Hub, our clinical services team is a dedicated group of health professionals who work together to provide comprehensive, culturally rooted care for you and your family. We offer both primary and holistic medical services, integrating Indigenous culture and traditions to enhance health outcomes. Our team includes Physicians and Nurse Practitioners who specialize in a range of services such as health promotion, chronic disease management, maternal and child health care, mental wellness, diabetes care, prenatal care, and well-baby checks. Family Physicians are Medical Doctors with specialized training in primary care, providing expert care for both acute and chronic conditions and maintaining strong relationships with patients and the community. Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses with advanced education in Primary Care, offering holistic care that addresses mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. They work independently and collaboratively, with the authority to prescribe medications, order tests, and refer to other services. Once you become a patient, you will be assigned to a specific Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner for continuity of care, although alternate practitioners will be available if needed.
